Colin - STAPUFT
I used 3/4 for my vanity panels. Seems to me, you would want vanity panel wood as thick/strong as enclosure wood because you are trying to keep cabin pressure to the "front" of the box. Make sure you get that seal as tight as possible. I got my wood within 1/8" all around, then used 1/2" foam weather strip (already has adhesive on one side) all around where the panel met the vehicle. Then I wrapped that and Kaboom!! Tight seal. A thought on your batteries- you could build a box for them, pretty the box up, then vent that battery box enclosure to the outside of the vehicle. I'm thinking of going with 2 more wet cell batts on the side of my box. I would love to have a nice gel cell, but I can get 2 huge wet batteries cheaper than 1gel cell. You know how it is... bass on a budget! Did I spy amps mounted off to the side? Lookin' good bro! 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain.
