Keeping A Battery Balanced?

Recommended Posts

i just got my d1200 in today. I sold all my old stuff but still have all the wires installed thinking about installing it in the trunk just to keep it at a stable voltage. would this be fine? just until i get a chance and the weather is right to install all my new system.

Sounds like you are asking if you can relocate your battery? If so, yes you can. I have been running my battery (batteries) in the trunk for a year and a half now.

Edit: Sidenote: be patient when waiting for replies.... give it a little more then 30 minutes.

i just got my battery in today ups, and i would like to keep it with a charge so i was just going to hook it up in the trunk until i get ready for my new install, it will be in the trunk for a secondary batt but i just want to put it in the trunk and not run anything off if right know just keep it at a balanced charge will it be alright to just hook my pos and ground it in the trunk to keep it charged up but not run any thing off it right know
