infamous4174 Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 i drive a Mercedes 300e and i just recently bought 2 jl sub and they slam but its like none of the bass enters the car.....any one have any ideas what the problem could be?
Decaf Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 umm, im not entirely sure what ur asking so... do the seats fold down, or is there any way the air in the trunk is interacting with the air in the cabin? pics help ALOT... if the subs are sealed in the trunk the bass will never sound as good then if u could either fold the seats down, remove the rear speakers, or create a vent/port thru the rear deck or armrest so the pressure created by the sub can also pressurize the cabin space
TCA1689 Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 i had the same problem with my 5 series, in between the back seat and the trunk there was is a thick plastic wall sealing the trunk from the cabin that i had to cut through behide the armrest to relieve standing waves. heres the thread take a look and hopefully it will give you an idea. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...&hl=jcm1689
