Question About 2-channel Amp

Recommended Posts

My amp (see sig) is rated at 170 watts per channel RMS at 2 ohms. It is also rated at 340 RMS bridged at 4 ohms. I could do either with my subs. What would you guys recommend I run? Is it better to do one or the other? Is one more efficient? Better sounding? Louder (doubtful)?

EDIT: Spelling fail

so you have '170' watts to each R...

holy cow... imo use all the 340w on one sub

i fial at reading... totally off topic ha, but i dont think it matters how you wire it, i'd probably do bridged at 4 ohms

That's what I figured. I just didn't know if it would be more efficient or something at 4 ohms.

And yes, an amp is high up on my shopping list. This amp was used when I was running one crappy Wal-Mart 10" when I knew nothing about bass, and the sub blew (no surprise) so I bought these from a friend. I haven't had a chance to upgrade the amp but it will be coming.

Thanks guys =]
