k3n12ock
Well, I went to the carstereo.com box building thing and this is the result I came up with using a 3^3 spec enclosure with a 3"x12" square port along with the info I posted in the first post. OR Should I use this program thing instead? http://www.carstereo.com/help/calc_box.cfm#box Quote 05 xB - (2) EVIL 18s - (2) BC3500s - NO WALL Channel 1: http://www.youtube.com/k3n12ock Channel 2: http://www.youtube.com/MrK3n12ock2
brsteinbach
No problem man thats what were here for. But in the Re Enclosure Calculator Put theses numbers in the red spots. Width: 36 Height: 14 Top Depth: 17 Bottom Depth: 17 Port Width: 3 Port Length 2: 6 Just an example. This would be 3.3 cubic feet tuned to 32Hz Edit: Sorry I type slow I didn't see that you posted. But carstereo.com Looks good. I like how RE's tell's you what you need and the dimensions to cut them MDF looks fine, And yea I like that it tells you what to cut. Now its all up to what you have for a trunk opening. I have a 97 grand am with a small trunk opening and Im able to get 36" width by 14" height so I figured it would work for you. brsteinbach
That should be a good box. What ever fits in your trunk. I just wouldn't go under 3 cubes. If you were to go under 3 cubes the subs may sound bad but will for surely not play low. My last box was for my 2 12's (check my sig) was 2.4 cubes tuned to 30Hz and it sound like it was tuned to 45Hz (It only hit the high notes). It just sounded awful. So I try to go 3 cubes or larger. Because the bigger the box the lower your subs will preform. That is my experience with systems.
