svman Posted May 25, 2009 Report Share Posted May 25, 2009 (edited) ok I have 4 sony 12s like this for my girls car and they say ported box volume is .82 per sub but that is only 3.28 cu ft for 4 is that enough it's going in a explorer sport subs up port back would like a little help with this that just seems like a small box as for a sealed box it says 1.15 per sub what would you do sealed or ported it is being powered by 2 1200 watt sony amps that is like 250x2 @ 2 ohms Edited May 25, 2009 by svman Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

97maxima Posted May 25, 2009 Report Share Posted May 25, 2009 go ported with about 6 cubes net and tune in the range of 35-38hz and im sure they will last a little while . idk how the would perform tuned any lower. id stay away from sealed if your trying to get them as loud as you can.
