Chris from Mi
....because you compared 2 2000's with 2 3500's, unless that was a typo, "ok so ive decided to go with 2 level5 dc 15's! im gona upgrade to a 300 amp alt but will that be stong enuff for 2 saz3500?" oldschool
With the alternator and a couple of batteries you would be fine running the 2000s at 2 ohm strapped or 1.4 strapped but yes you would void your warranty at 1.4 strapped or .7 ohm each but I have seen a 1500 at .5 ohm daily with stock alternator and 1 extra battery do just fine.you could try 2 3500s but you would need a lot of electrical upgrades to feed them daily. Derrick824
I did some testing yesterday with a pair of saz-3500s @ 0.5ohm each. My electrical consists of a 300a MechMan alternator, 1 XS Power D3100 under the hood, 2 XS Power D3100s in the back, all Knukonceptz Knu-Fleks wiring. Engine off the voltage only fell to 12.2v burping full tilt with a test tone. With those amps @ 1ohm each there wouldn't be any need for more electrical than that. You won't need a large group 31 battery under the hood. A group 34 like the XS Power D3400 will work fine or even something as small as the XS Power D2400 if that's all you can fit. I highly recommend at least a good 250a alternator to feed them daily but the bigger the better. MechMan has some great alternators and Matt is a great guy to deal with. Testing a single saz-3500d @ 1ohm with the engine on my voltage never fell below 13.6v. For a single amp I recommend at least a 200a alternator, good group 34 battery under the hood, and a good group 31 (like the XS Power D3100) in the back.
