fast85_gt Posted May 30, 2009 Report Share Posted May 30, 2009 ok right now my box is 9.99cubes gross after port and sub displacement im arournd 8cubes net with a 100sqin of port 4"x25"x21.5" deep tuned to 31or 32hz i dont know what i need to know is how deep do i need to make my port tuned higher around 35hz or so so i can get better numbers at comps, im running 2 18" treo ssx 18's and 2 rd audio 3250.1's the box was built to treo's spec's Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bkolfo4 Posted May 30, 2009 Report Share Posted May 30, 2009 Assuming 8 ft^3 net with the 21.5" port, you could cut the port down to 16" long. That would give you around 8.35 ft^3 net tuned to 35 Hz. If you want to stay at 8 ft^3 net, make the port 17.25" long and add corner fill somewhere to take up abuot 500 in^3. Not much port area if that is 100 inches for the pair of 18's.
