Problem With Voltage

Hello from Athens! i have a Fiat Cinquecento Sporting and my setup is: amps: 1x Blaupunkt GTA4 Special (for speakers), 1x Boschmann Z-8428 (for subwoofers). headunit: JVC KD-G611, Speakers: 2x 6x9 philips, 2x Sony xplod 6x9 (rear), 2x Target Audio 12'' subs 250wRMS @4ohms/each.

The problem is very low voltage!! in the afternoon i was go a ride an the music is too loud (rnb with very bass), the volt meter showed 10.9vDC with subwoofers at full power! i know is very dangerous for the amplifiers/speakers etc. what would you do in my place? plz help :blink::blink:

Upgrade the big three

Big 3 = problem solved.

4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz

1- T1000.1bd's

3 Maxx 29 deep cycles

4 runs of 1/0 gauge

-Big 3

-Trunk sealed off from the cabin

Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module

All in a CAR.

Also, i'd replace the battery, it sounds as though it may be getting old, but definately not puttin out the necessary power.

BTW, How is Athens these days?

yeah the battery is too old. i want put a 60Ah battery (my alternator is 60), exist battery is 50Ah and is 3 years old and i change the supply cords from battery to alternator and chassis ground with 0 gauge.

Athens is getting hot here the morning :) the night is very cold.. but is cool!

someone will correct me if i am wrong but it is the 3 main wires with your electrical system,

Battery to GND

Battery B+ to alternator

Engine GND to chassis.

RF Punch 40x2RF Punch 100x2RF Punch 200x2RF Punch 200x2RF Punch 400x4JL Audio 10W7-3"but its only a 200 watt amp tho"

^^^^ exactly right. Understand you are not replacing factory cable just adding to. Use 0/1 guage and you can get full juice from alternator and it reinforces your ground. Here are pics of the big three done in a Jetta. You have to scroll down the page a little, but it's there.
