rrims Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 Ok, so here's my story. I went out yesterday and bought the JVC KDR300 from Bestbuy, bought the Harness, and the mounting brackets. I came home and while looking at the wires in the dash for the radio (i bought the car with no radio, and someone before me had an aftermarket one in there, so no wiring harness was in there when i got it) i came to find that i do not have a constant hot wire to connect to the radio. So now here's my question, how would i go about getting a constant hot wire, or how would i run a new hot wire. I have an accessory wire already, that is hot when the key is on, and i have a good ground, but that is my only problem. So can someone bare with me on this installation please, its my first time on my own wiring a headunit.
Jville140db Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 sounds like you need to check your fuses first may not even be labeled radio so check them all if you are unsure on how to use a meter take them out one by one and check them visually.
