These things come in all kinds of different sizes. Example: 320 amp alternator from Leece-Neville which can be purchased at NAPA. With a little bit of work it would be pretty straight forward to custom mount one of these. Just wondering if instead of going with multiple alts, has anyone tried going this route? The downside being that in order to get the full potential you have to rev them up pretty high. Sitting at 2k RPMs you would see ~150amps. Maybe for a strictly outlaw SPL build? The woofers might suck all the air out your lungs (if you stand too close) When the monster hums

Besides having to make new brackets for mounting 150 at 2000 rms is kinda low. Only benifit would be it would prolly produce that all day long hours on end. DC powers 240amp (sp) alts do 150 at 800 or so car rpm and would mount no problem. They now have some 180 amp at idle alts which we are testing on our 30kw set up now.
