brewer_brewer Posted July 30, 2009 Report Share Posted July 30, 2009 and what if you have 2 batteries? same deal? you will have to pull the batteries out and test them individually. one may be dead and the other one is trying to charge it up. your alternator might also not be able to charge more than one battery properly. what do you have? skittlesRgood Posted July 30, 2009 Report Share Posted July 30, 2009 i have a mechman 250amp alt. yellowtop up front and a deka G31 in back. i did your test today and voltage didnt drop below 11v on startup. i unhooked the back batt and did the test with the yellowtop. then i just left the back batt unhooked and watched the voltage on the yellowtop drop to 12.4 while the deka stayed at 12.6. so im thinking something is definitely draining this batt and its not my amps.
