Box Troubles

okay ive got 4 alpine type e 12's in ~6.5 cubes after disp. today while i was driving i hit a bump and then i heard some noises from my box. like high pitch rubbing when a coil blows. so i shut it off and went home checked the subs they were fine but the more weight i put on the box while the music was going the louder the noise got. well turns out that the screws used to hold it together were crap. my dad told me that they were the best i'd ever find for this. being my only my second box build i regret it they were deck screws and its only about 6 months old. anyway i want to upgrade soon to an 18. i was thinkin a level 5 but i dont have money for it yet. so should i build the box with specs for the 18 and put in a baffle for the 12's(ill just switch the baffle later) or should i just wait it out with the crap box and build a new one when i get the 18? sorry about the long post
