SharkOnBoom Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 After amping my doorspeakers I realize that the wires that were powering them are just laying there putting power to nothing.... what a waste even though its only what? 17 watts? I dont really like tweeters as much as I like my cadence 6.5 speakers so I'm thinking about putting cheap low wattage tweeters on these unused wires coming from my headunit. What would be the best cheap tweeters to do this with?
97maxima Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Well id find one with a built in crossover first off because they wont probley las long without one. plus it should be one with a low rms and a high sensitivity rating so it will get loud with low power. i hooked up mine to the headunit the other day and you really cant here them, i used to have them on about 60 watts and they would scream. shop around on ebay for some American Bass*DC Power
basshead4life Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 i bought some Iced Audio ones from walmart and they scream on my head unit only $26 too so if they blow up its not that big of a lose Team S.M.D. Maritime Car Audio- (2) 18" SSA ZCON D1 - American Bass 500.1 - 60 ft of 3/0 -480 Ah of battery - (2) stock alternators (70 +90) - Kenwood Excelon x-794, 4v preouts car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. (if that confuses you then you get the point) lol
