dbqkqh Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 So here is how my installment is like: Connected 14 gauge wire from the stock subwoofer outlet into a crossover, then hooked the crossover towards the AMP. I have 8 gauge speaker wires goin' from the amp to the 12" subwoofer. For couple of days, I had my sub around low - volume, but it still rattled the trunk. (Reason I had low volume was due to the passenger door speaker being blown - but i just replaced it yesterday ) But, yeah, all of a sudden, while I was driving back home, the subwoofer just hits REALLY soft. It's as if it's operating like the stock subwoofer did. I've checked the amp, and the subwoofer, and they are still fine. i connected new wires and just screw everything back in. So, I am safely assuming that there is something wrong with my crossover box. The sub pounds as if it was the 8" factory subwoofer. What is your guys idea? And if the problem is the crossover box, would I have to buy a new one, or is there a way i can fix it manually? Thanks for your help! EDIT:// I found out the model name of the crossover box I have: Impedance Converter T-3X Anybody know where I can buy a line out converter? There is a local audio shop but they have HORRIBLE customer service, and I never want to affliate with their establishment again..

If so I would first buy a nice headunit, alpine, pioneer, eclipse, etc.. 1997 4 Runner Alpine CDA-9886 4 Fi Audio X Series 12's 1 Crunch GP3000D Pro DC Power Inc. Alternator(Kickin out 15+ volts!)

Well the problem is, my sub has been bumpin for quite a bit, but out of nowhere, last night, it just stopped. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the wires of some sort
