zack74562 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Share Posted July 5, 2009 do i have to change the stocked wires to my components for my upgraded speakers? i'm soon to be putting in 2 sets of focals in there. isn't it the same as the wire for subs where it's supposed to run a certain type?? if so, what wires would you recommend running? tacomabanga1986 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Share Posted July 5, 2009 2 sets in each door? n i normally run 14guage for comp sets due to runnin to back of car or w/e it helps current flow, stock speaker wires are only good for a set of coax ran from headunit, but for comps ran from amp ied redo in 14guage you can run speaker wires in line with rcas and get no ground loop, and mount the xovers to somethin, i messed up n just layed mine in the doors n they got wet but still work, so i mounted mine to kick panels and it looks clean n works fine hope this helps here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
