I have a similar design...12 btl fully loaded to about 2300 watts...but have been told to never mount the amp to the box itself... So is it okay?

It's ok to mount your amp on the side of the box, as long as you have something in between (like rubber like BEllithorpe04 said) is also helps that it's mounted right behind a port wall, so no flexing at all of the side of the box anyway. And thanks BEllithorpe04. Surprisingly it only took a couple hours to make that box and it's still beats to hell. I am in love with T-lines now. Only problem is finding a large enough vehicle to make one for. That box for the 15 will be massie, but you will be more than happy to realize the output of these things off about 1/2 the wattage of what you would put on it in a regular ported box..
