i have a 15 in crossfire 1500 watt max 750 rms and a jackhammer 600 watt mono block amplifier and a pioneer head unit and a 2 farad power cap runinng on 4 gauge wires and at full load but only quarter volume my amp turns off goes into i guess u would call it overheat protection and after about two minutes it comes back on but keeps doing it at full load but amp heats up really fast at full load i have stock alt brand new batt but new alt also and still dims lights too the amp is 2 ohm stable and the spkr is 1.8 ohms x 2 is what it says so i dunno any help plz asap

having the amp at full gain is probably not the best idea. sounds like you are clipping the amp. and is the Sub wired in series or parallel?
