I had an Alpine MRPM1000

It gets burn you hot after barely playing bass, and its really expensive.

Ive installed many of them, and all other amps in vehicle and marine applications..

You must be doing something wrong. They are a pretty decent, sturdy, reliable amp, but they are priced a tad high.

x2 i just got rid of a mrp-m1000.... it was a solid amp.... and never really got hot.... if a mrp-m1000 was in your needed power range i would suggest it... but id go with 1 of the larger amps that were suggested..... man i wish alpine had came out with the mrp-m2000 that they were talking about...

i have a mrp-1000 right now .... it overheats and shutsdown often.... and its annoying as shit .... trying to give a demo to the homies and your amp shuts down? .... smh .... dont get a mrp1000 if your trying to pound. right now i have 2 12" type rs powered by the mrp 1000 ... it hits for what it is but i wish i woulda did some research and got a better amp ... wasnt worth the money obviously.
