lanman31337
Noise when you turn on headlights and certain things most definitely sounds like a bad ground. Your seat belt bolt is one of the shittiest places to ground things. You'd be better off grounding your eq off of the tip of your wang than your seat belt bolt. Move that ground to a better location. Next, find a better location for the power of the equalizer. Where is your head unit grounded? Where are your amps grounded? Do you have a 2nd battery? DownSouthCustom
You need a Transformer based Isolator to help keep midbass. I read eBay for about 11 bucks. Edited July 17, 2009 by DownSouthCustom
lanman31337
His problem looks to be bad grounds, which should be fixed first. Do you have a 2nd battery? my headunit is grounded of the wiring harness wherever te factory harness is grounded what if i power the eq off of the power antenna output of the headunit or just splice it in to the power of the wiring harness im going to move the ground back where the he unit harness is my amps are grounded to the battery less than 3 feet the second battery is grounded to the frame by the tailight and to a bolt that secures the factory tire jack housing Quote current set-up kenwood ddx 712 clarion eq focal 165 k2p front focal 165v2 rear 2 re audio sexxx 12 us amps md3d us amps md42 1 optima yellow top (rear) 1 xs power 5100r (front) big 3 and 1 run 1/0 stinger wire my build my rebuild
