new toy!

got a marlin .17 hmr and but a BSA sweet 17 scope on it, 3-12 power (multiple of 4 ftw!!) and 40mm objective with adjustable anti-parallax.

and has the adjustments on the elevation knob for distances up to 300 yards!

looks great.

i have a similar scope on my .22

and yes, it'll down some decent sized game or varmits. a .17 hmr (hornaday magnum rimfire) will travel into supersonic speeds to literally "blow up" once the bullet hits a target.

Ya I think I killed 7 this year with .17 HMR I killed 48 this year total just off my property

Nice rifle! My buddy just ended an Armadillo last night with his .17

He loves his. Says it fires around 2600 fps. At that speed with the projectile so small, it doesn't even spall. Like J00bles said, it just explodes. Quite an effective round.
