xNOxSK1LLZx Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Okay im buying some new speakers and i want to get some opinions on what to do. So the speakers im planning to buy are Front Speakers and Back Speakers. So when i buy the After market speakers should i get an amp to power the speakers so that way the head unit doesn't fry or should i not buy an amp cause the head unit will be enough to power it.The Head Unit. I bought this a couple days ago so its Brand New. Also if i need to buy an amp how many watts should i get and what is a good brand that is not to expensive. For example if all i need is a 600 watt amp or less then i will probably buy a Rockford Fosgate cause they are good if i need more watts then i need something that will be a little cheaper cause im not made of money also im getting some subs and a amp for that so im trying to conserve as much money as possible. Also if you can find the products in bestbuy cause i like that place. Please don't commment on me buying them at bestbuy the reason i buy them there is because all the stuff i have bought from them is good stuff and i don't have problems with them. All Answers are Greatly Appreciated. Thank You!!!!
enemyofsilence Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 you dont NEED an amp for the speakers but if you want louder (which you will probably want to) and you want to stick with best buy, i would go with this 4 channel. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1170289779383 you need an amp that does ~85w per channel. just my .02 Team Bass-Hz
