Alternator Ground

Alright another question. I got my DC alt in and I was wondering do I need to run a ground wire to it. I also have a factory ground that came of my factory alt so does it need to go on the DC alt also?

I would recommend running a minimum of zero gauge. Have you done the big 3 to the car? If not then it's highly recommended and you should run at least zero gauge from the engine block to the chassis, chassis to battery, and from alternator positive to the alternator positive. Then you can check your resistance of all the wires with the DMM. You personally don't have to ground the alternator because the chassis to engine ground can take care of it. If you want to be extra sure, you may do that as well.
