Use the biggest wire you can find, most guys use 1/0, you shouldn't need more than that. The fuse is there to protect the wire so you'll want to get a 300amp fuse with a corresponding fuse holder. I used all Knukonceptz gear accept for my wire, i use kicker hyperflex, only because i got it for a steal of a price.

There is actually a few stickies in the electrical-battery-alternators-wiring main page to tell you and show you how to correctly run and connect the wiring.

Rangers are easy to do the Big 3 on but take your time, don't cut any corners and you should do just fine!

i would take it ur useing 1/0 for ur big 3

if u are u will want 2 use a 300 amp fuse

cool guys, yeah i figured 1/0 size wire. and the 300a fuse. just didn't know much about the fuses or stuff like that

i've read through the big 3 stuff already, just no idea on fusing it. ha

i'll need to pick up some wires and connectors soon, i have tomorrow off but don't really feel like driving 45 minutes to get crap ( closest audio place that would have wires)

i looked @ some other sites and they were extremely expensive for the fuse.

You are correct sir! that'll be your best bet. Now, do you plan on doing 1/0 throughout the entire system or just for the big 3?

right now just the big 3, i think when i order the fuse i'ma get some 8g speaker wire to get that up to par also ( mines random and old)

when i upgrade my amp in the future i will be upgrading power/ground to 1/0 of course.

but not that much funds right now so will have to wait for that

Good deal man, gotta start somewhere right? When ur going to be getting your electrical go to www.delcity.net It's the cheapest i've seen for copper lugs for any gauge wire, plus they have TONS AND TONS of other gear that is at great prices. I bought 20 1/0 ring terminals for $9 from them. Only shitty part is you have to have a $25 minimum order, but hey, with all the stuff they have, you could spends hundreds lol

i just went and ordered the fuse/holder, some 1/0 wire and ring terminals for the big 3.

also picked up some 8 gauge speaker wire to get that up to par also.

i wish i didn't have other bills otherwise i'd be dropping all my money into my truck.
