qu1cks1lver56 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 so after coming home from the comp in foley, my van isnt loud enough anymore. so i want new sub(s) and box. my problem is, idk what to use for subs. regardless it will be a t-line tuned to fs freq. but idk what to use, 2 10's or 1 12. itll be on my t1k @ 1 ohm so it needs to be either 2 500rms subs or 1 1krms sub. another delimma (sp?) i run into is i wont be in this van for much longer (hopefully) and the box for 2 10's might not fit in a car trunk. so it may end up being a single 1krms 12". so i need to know what would be louder and by how much, the 2 10's or the 1 12'. ive been told both so now im lost. also need sub suggestions. kind of want something with fs of 29-32hz. i was looking at DD subs, they seem to have all the specs needed for a t-line, i just dont know where to get pricing info, also considering having foreverbumpn build me a 12" with the specs i want. but i have no idea yet. so any help/guidance is appreciated. FiBTLforlife Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 i would say the 2 10'' would be louder spl wise. plus you have more cone area, more motor, better cooling. IMO i would go with 2 10''. also will sound better in that van i think. and for woofers, depending on your price and what you can spend. AQ is good for the price. you can get away with two 10'' HDC3 subs for $500 shipped. so just depends on what you want. another thing is AQ can handle some major power, with the price of the FiBL. 2 AQ 10'' HDC3 copper subs 1 3500d AQ amp 146.3db on TL with stock electrical in single cab truck at 32hz RESULT: 1st place at comp, 3rd overall out of 20 cars
