kanes_disciple
I am looking for something nice looking but cheap ideas for an amp rack in my blazer. I have a Kinetik 600, a 600 watt Diamond Audio Amp for my subs and a TMA 300 watt amp for my mids and highs and I need to get it all in a area that is 12 inches deep and 36 inches wide. I was thinking of making a square frame of 1X2's and putting a 1/2 inch think plywood board on top of the frame. Wrapping it in matching fabric or carpet to my interior and then using the round tap deals so that all you see is the wires come up and into my amps. I wanna use the 1X2's so that the wires are hidden and not being pinched. I just dont want my amps sitting behind my seats screwed down to the floor and the wires visible. A buddy of mine had the idea of getting a piece of plexi glass cut to go over the amps and putting some LED lights in with the amps, but I was wondering if that will make them get hotter being sealed in a amp rack. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading!
