My dad gave me an Alpine alarm he's had sitting around for a good long while. He says he never used it and by the looks of it i believe it, most of it was still wrapped. That being said, is this alarm worth the time of putting it in, ive searched and it seems to be a decent alarm but I'd like some input from some of you that are familiar with alarms.

Model is 8046 dual proximity.

If it's in great shape? All the parts are there? Don't have an alarm already? I'd say put it in, it would only be a plus.

My brother inlaw had an alpine alarm that came in his old F150. It worked pretty damn good, was decently loud.

yeah its brand new basically, only thing missing is the LED indicator and i can order a replacement for it. I hooked it up to 12v just to hear how loud it was and the siren is louder than the viper i had on another car
