BLuejoules
Ugh, so today I replaced the ground wire on my amp, I turn on some BME click and my sub starts making this loud "farting" noise. With my volume on 16 and below it doesnt make this noise, but on 17 and higher it does it. I took the sub out of the box, everything looks fine on it, voice coil isnt rubbing, its still in good shape. The sub is a 12 inch blaupunkt thats like 7 years old. any ideas? I wasnt pushing it hard when it started making the noise too. EDIT: I guess I fail at embeding so Im putting up the link Edited August 2, 2009 by BLuejoules Quote IG: devinthydude
1992Chevy K1500
It sounds like some part of the box might be rattling. Check all of the surfaces on the box. BLuejoules
I forgot to mention that. I took the sub out of the box and it was still making that noise Quote IG: devinthydude
1992Chevy K1500
It definitely sounds like a part of the box is rattling. Place both subs in the box and turn the volume to just under clipping and firmly press on each surface of the box until it quits. Make sure to only do one surface at a time. If it doesn't quit, then I don't know what it could be. BLuejoules
eh? I only have one sub and when I took it out of the box it was still making the noise, this noise is definatly coming from the sub. Quote IG: devinthydude

1992Chevy K1500
My bad, I though you had two. You'll likely have to get a video for us.
