8000watts Posted August 6, 2009 Report Share Posted August 6, 2009 (edited) when im driving at night and my fans cut on, i hear a drop in my system volume for a brief second. (may sound like nuffin but its annoying after a while) im guessing its a voltage drop. i still have my stock alternator and was wondering if it would make a difference if i did the big 3 now...(i am planning to get a new alternator later down the line) would i get a more constant voltage?? k3n12ock Posted August 6, 2009 Report Share Posted August 6, 2009 The big 3 helps a lot. I just recently bought an amp from someone on here and I could not turn it loud for nothing. It would hit hard then drop and sound shitty as hell. Now after I did the big 3 with 0/1, I was able to turn it full blast with no cut outs or anything. It's worth it man. It's a definite must. Get a battery too while you're at it, I am, then the alternator. BTW, scottiej is selling big 3 kits cheap in for sale section. I got my wire from him. Good guy there.
