Dual alt for 2001 Blazer?

Recommended Posts

I've upgraded to a Mechman 250A alt but just added another amp so I'd like to see if I can run a second alternator. Does anyone know if someone makes a kit for a 2001 Blazer?

It looks like a tight fit, but it might clear with a little...elbow grease :aggressive:

im sure someone does i was actually curious of this myslef. try mechman or dc power im sure if they dont make the brackets they would be able to point you in the right direction. the big problem is not wanting to lose the a.c. lol the engine compartments pretty tight but i think theres enough room to just squeeze one in

R.I.P '01 blazer you treated my ears well until your transmission blew up.

I talked to a buddy with a machine shop the other day and he thinks if we rotate the mechman up a bit, we can slide another one right next to it with the support of some fancy machined brackets he's making me. :)

Now I gotta get a hold of Mechman and find out if I'll need to add another idler pully for more belt wrap on the alts...
