Need some help with box and subs

So i had a qustions about lining the inside of your box with dynamat you know like each flat surface covered with one sheet good or bad idea my theory is that the rubber type backing would seal the pores on the mdf and provide a little more vibration resistance to the box anybody else try this or have an opinion on it also i was thinking of doing 6 of the new infinity reference 10's in place of the 3 type r's i was going to get because i can the infinity's for 250 shipped to my house vs the type r's 400 price tag good idea or not which would you do thanks for any advice

I personally would go for the type r's, they bump pretty good. I have two and they are the best subs i have ever owned myself. I've heard some infinity's play and I personally dont like the sound they produce. If these are the only two types your looking at then I'd say go for the type r's

If you dynamat the opposite side of the box from the woofer you can help to reduce standing waves. Only applies to sealed boxes, in a ported box the rear wave is your friend. But you shouldn't get standing waves anyway unless your box is a cube and plays 500hz or something.

You will get far more benefit using the dynamat for something it's made for.
