NoTraction Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 I need some advise on which active crossover to use on my 3 way system. I'm seriously looking at the Focal 165VR3 (6 1/2", 4", and tweeter) or the Hybrid Legatia (6 1/2", 3", and tweeter). Also running a single IDQ12" (DVC). Head unit is Pioneer Premier P-690UB The crossovers I'm looking at are the Audio Control DQXS and the Rockford 3sixty.2. Whcih one would be best for a three way active set up. Thanks 89 IROC - 1/4 mile in 10.87 @125mph!!
Boon Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 3sixty.2 is no good for active 3 way + sub. Only Active 2 way + sub. It only has 4 stereo channels. You can put the midbass drivers on the 360's centre channel if you're not worried about having mono midbass but it means you really have to cross it over pretty low. Oddly enough a lot of old-school crossovers are really good for this. Things like Earthquake and Alpine's old bricks. 10.x volts fo' life!
