codi Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 whats up guys. i got a question regarding a problem my friend has been having, he says, or thinks his sub is blown and has talked to a few people and they said because his sub is blown the fuse keeps blowing, would this be true?
Rogers Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 sure... if the sub is blown... that means that the voice coil is shorting out... there for the fuse will pop from too much current draw... if it is blown and he keeps putting more or bigger fuses in it..he could damage the amp if he hasnt already... http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/79921-rogers-700-dream-car-update-page-17-a-wall/?p=2335774 93 Saturn SC2My system4 SA-15's Walled 2 Cerwin-Vega S2000's 3 Kinetik Hc2000's Dual 200amp alts. you guys done with the peepee touching contest or do I need to end it?
codi Posted August 14, 2009 Author Report Posted August 14, 2009 im pretty sure he has just put the same sized fuse in over and over. and he said it only ever happens on songs that have hard hitting bass. im guessing cause it sucks alot of power to hammer hard which equals the blown fuse?
