You have to modify the new airbox to accept the MAF. I'm surprised your engine still runs without it. You can keep the aftermarket intake and should. It will be hard, but you will free up some horsepower. An upgrade like that is well worth the time.

EDIT: you have to put it after the filter and you cannot zip tie it in. That's an accident waiting to happen. You have to properly secure it.

i only drove my car for like 2 blocks so i havent really pushed my car w/o this... i didnt want to mess anything up.

and can u please explain what is meant by "the new airbox". thanks :)

That entire intake looks new. Is it? That's what I meant by "airbox". You shouldn't be able to run the engine without it. You may have gotten lucky and got one that's designed to run with and without them. You definitely will not get as much performance or mileage without it.

intake is stock, just cleaned up a bit. filter is brand new (well 2 blocks old) :)

as for that sensor, i need to put it near my new filter? i dont want to leave the connection unplugged cause i dont want to mess up my car and/or engine. i will see if i can pull out the sensor from the stock filter and find a place for it.

thanks!
