need an amp suggestion for kicker comps

so a friend of mine needs an amp for his kicker comp 12's. not sure which ones but theyre rated for 400rms a piece.

i said a RF p1000 to begin with, he said ok, then the people at a shop said "thats way too much weve used that amp for 4 of those subs".

so now hes askin me what to use again. i still say the p1000 if he'd be responsible with them. but to be safe, im thinking he finds a last gen. punch 800.2 or gets a new t600-2. im sure the t-600-2's do over rated power and the new t series amps are very efficient A/B amps. hes got D4 coils so he needs 800 at 1 ohm or 4 ohms. any suggestions on good amps are welcome. we really wants a fosgate amp but there are others im sure i could convince him to get if itll do the job good.

If he wants to stay kicker he can do an 850.2, wire each sub to 2 ohms, and run one off of each channel.

punch 800.2 is gonna be around 1000rms almost near the p1000 id look for the bd500 old school 01-04 i think mine kicked out 800 @ 2ohms

i think hes gonna look for a bd500

found one on ebay for 217 shipped. seems to be a pretty good deal.
