I have around 150sq feet of rattletrap on the floor/doors/rear deck/firewall/ceiling. And mega matt in the trunk. The tar based rattletrap/fatmat smells for quite a while after installing it, it's not a horrible unbearable kind of smell though. You just smell it once the sun starts a cooking, for maybe a week or two. Also, if it isn't applied right then it would actually peel off in the heat. So a heat gun is needed for it. Mega matt isn't as thick as rattletrap but it's butyl based and has yet to peel off any of my trunk with the equal if not better performance. It has my vote. Second skin is another excellent company that you should keep your eye on as well.
