no a horn is just a box design, it doesnt really need to have a huge port to be a horn but they usually do depending on the sub

lets see how can I describe this. ok you've seen those loud megaphones, right? notice how it flares out from small(where you speak into) to big(where the sound comes out of)...

what's it doing?

answer: compression, it compress the sound makes it like "explode" outwards through the small narrow port until it gets wider out, the port goin wider eliminates port noise from what I understand and "spreads" the sound.

makes the sub really efficient, however if you were to try to meter this particular box it wouldn't score very high on the TL but it would/does sounder louder than what it scores. I did a 137.9 with this but it sounded more in the lower 40s.
