So what that means is it will be extremly expensive for me to keep my car insured right now. So ive decided to wait till June to reinsure it. But i am still planning on purchasing the SSD and making a box. My parents will not be part of my insurance. There rates will go up if i get into an accident and they dont want to take that chance. So i will be able to drive by myself in June so i will reinsure it then. Im putting storage insurance on it for now. But this gives me some time to maybe do a few things to the car. This is the info striaght from my insurance company "At ICBC, youth, sex and marital status are not used to determine your premium level. Every new driver, whether 16 or 56, will start out paying the base premium level when insuring a vehicle." "Teens with their own vehicles will have to buy their own insurance. As new owners of vehicles, they will begin at the base rate on the Claim-Rated Scale, and must earn any discounts for future renewals by driving safely." Lol i gotta pay for it. Just like everything else. Thats why im working 2 jobs now plus school. If i was driving my parents car it wouldnt be a problem. But this is my own car so i have to pay the full amount. $2800 for me to insure for 1 year.
