My computer crashed and I had to reload windows xp. Now, I don't have any sound. It is showing that there is no onboard sound device. What can I do?

I checked and there are no devices associated with speakers. I have restarted it a couple times and no luck.

go on your computer manufacturer's site and go into the support section. they should have a drivers subsection and try to find your sound card in there. download drivers, install, restart computer.

that might fix it. otherwise i dont know.
