Polecat
polecat is the zx750.1 a good amp IMHO, yes, alot of people sue them in MWSPL class, because they clamp power do between 800-925 watts. Not bench, clamped. Quote Behind every great man....is an underwear tag!
MrSoundz
Definitely stick with the Kicker amp. Old or not, it is still an excellent amp. The KX 1200.1 is 1 ohm stable. The SX line was also 1 ohm stable but Kicker has since stopped making that line. Now they only make the ZX line which are all 2 ohms stable for their mono block amps. MrSoundz
Problems arise when people run amps at impedances that they are not designed to handle. .05 ohms on a 1 ohm stable amp over time will destroy the amp, put more heat on the inside components, increase distortion and pull moe current from the battery. In either case, running an amp like that will cause a Kicker or Hifonics amp to crap out on you earlier.

Power is power...if amp A does 1500 watts at 2 ohm and amp B puts out 1500 at 1 ohm, BOTH do 1500 watts. One is not better than the other, but one will use more current than the other. Doesn't mean amp A is better, but will do same power, just different impedance. Figure amp, and build around that.
