This thread was helpful because I used my DD1 and CC1 to set my gains and crossovers on my SAZ 1200D. The only thing is that the red prong went on the speaker negative instead of the speaker positive. The DD1 and CC1 are good investments.

The box size for the 15s would be a little over 3 cubes tuned at 33-35hz. For the 10's they get 1.25 cubes each tuned to 34hz. Obviously I have the electrical to power either setups. I would run the T1500-1BDCP @ 2 ohms to the 15 but they said 1700 watts to a 1000rms sub is pushing it. RF told me that my T1000-1BDCP would be a much better match. The birthsheet on the T1000-1BDCP at 2 ohms is right at 1501 watts and I figure probably with box rise and l would get about 1300-1400 watts to the 15. This would go in a Toyota 4-runner

Which will hit harder in my truck? 2 10's ported at 34hz ( RE Audio SEs) running off of a T1500-1BDCP or 1 RF T1 15 running off of a T1000-1BDCP tuned between 33hz and 35hz.

with my tight budget, i can either get brand new bc2000 or used AQ2200. I really want AQ, but can't find one. Are they no longer on stock at the www.audioque.com website?

I have been addicted to bass since 1989 just now at a smaller scale.

I like my amps matching as well. Power series is always better, they have thicker heatsinks, 24 db crossovers and deliver a little bit more power.

Who here has used the Rockford Fosgate Power 400a4 from 2000 for their mids and highs? Does the amp overheat? How is the sound quality?

I would buy the JL for $200. That one is a no brainer.

Both would be ported. The 10's would be ported at 35hz. The 12 would be ported at 40hz. Looking for more SQL.

Whether the bass is more accurate, more punchy, etc.

All things being equal with proper air space, what are some of the differences between 10's and 12's. I know 10's can get deep with the right porting but what are some other differences?

They are both good brands but I would lean toward RF

They are in business and go by Exonic. I live in Buena Park, CA and the company itself is 5 minutes from where I live. They are owned by some Koreans and my dealings with them have been good. Last year I bought some amps from them, when I was in my experimenting phase. They worked well however got too hot too quickly for me and would cut off. The subs that they showed me were montrous and seemed to be well built. To me there products are OK, nothing to write home about but OK. I am saying this as a person who used them for a little bit, talked to the owner of the company and actually been to the company headquarters. BTW, their amps are made in the same buildhouse as Orion and MTX. So they are not unique.

Get you an Audiocontrol 3.1 and call it a day. Has an equalizer/crossover and line driver. All in one.

I run 1 12 inch RF T2 in a 2.25 cubic foot enclosure tuned at 40hz and that things slams hard. It outdoes my 2 10 inch T1s, my buddy's 2 15's, etc. I have about 1100 watts going to it. It is a SQL type of woofer in my opinion.

The T-series also has a better heatsink as well. The RF Power series is no joke. I own the T1500-1BD, T1000-1BD T500-1BD and 2 T400-4 for my 4-Runner and 300zx. They are excellent amps. The T5002 are the size of a house.

I would pick the T10001BD. I have used all of them with the exception of the US Amps but I read a review on the US Amps Merlin and while they made rated power it was at a higher distortion level. The T10001BD is awesome but in my opinion too big. The RF T1500-1BD is excellent and the T1000-1BD is excellent as well. No one ever talks about the T1000-1BD which is a replacement to the T10001BD. It's much smaller and puts out 1400+ watts @ 1 ohm and 975+ watts @ 2 ohms. I own that one as well. Awesome amp. RF has a much much better reputation than US Amps and you will always get more for your money. If you buy unauthorized and install the amp probably, chances are that you will never need to use the warranty.

They are not ZED built amps, they are designed by Robert Zeff the same guy who designs some of the high end ARC audio amps. ZED (stephen mantz) has his own line of amps some to come out again.

Look into some of the Audioque amps. They are good value for the money.
