jbondox
People don't come to a Best Buy to hear about Fi and DC. Either they come to buy some crappy mainstream gear, or they came to be a smartarse little tyre kicker. If they really wanted Kicker, they would go to a shop that sold Kicker. They go to Best Buy for several reasons convenience advertisements pricing reputation BBY has their own rewards program and credit card brands extended warranty great insurance all which the little guy or specialty shops don't have or don't do for financial reasons not saying that BBY is wrong to go to, but people do not know about what is available to them in their area or what products for their vehicle I can go into BBY and pick up a system and compete with it... 90% of a great system is installation. So i wouldn't say they have crap for gear, because if something like that happened it would look pretty embarrassing when the trophies were being handed out As for the Kicker comment, there is no way that any shop advertises more than BBY, or has it on display like BBY, which generates more interest for those that are interested, and might view the Kicker website who lists the dealers in the area... they might just get lucky From a business and manufacturer view, it is a win win situation for everyone, including the shops in the surrounding area.
