kicker99chevy Posted September 23, 2009 Report Share Posted September 23, 2009 ok im having problems with my car starting everyonce in a while ill go out to start my car and it wont start it wont turn over it wont make any noise ill wait a few minutes and it will start again i replaced the battery and the starter but it still continues to not start everyonce in a while i need some help figureing out the problem if anybody can help since im not to good with engines oh and its a 99 monte carlo with the 3.8 if that helps Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Posted September 23, 2009 Report Share Posted September 23, 2009 check the terminals that have the power wire and ground wire on them that hook up to the battery. you can take a wire brush or some sandpaper and sand off the inside part to expose some new metal. Polecat Posted September 24, 2009 Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 if you have power, your alt and battery is fine, clean connection at the starter, or may be a battery cable going out, so you can change positive and negative, relatively cheap and easy fix.
