LiL PiNoY Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 well heres whats going on i got a high output alternator in the summer and cold start ups would be like 15.0-15.2. after 10 minutes of driving it would go down to 14.1-14.4 Now its starting to get cold out and now my cold start up are at 15.4-15.6 and after about 15 minutes it goes to 14.1-14.4. this is only at like 60 degrees outside. im sure it will be reaching near 16v's when real winter hits like 20-30 degrees. i guess my question would be it's not hurting anything right?

Nope Alts naturally put out a lil more power when they are cold, once they heat up to normal operating temps they go back to the 14's some will even go to the high 13's. Heck you could probably get a lil more power out of your amp on start up. ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............
