Rainman215's Walled Accord Build

Recommended Posts

2 18s walled in the accord yessir! and yea cant do anything until it gets warmer. i had a mrp-1000 on my first setup ... for some reason whenever i lifted my backseat up to the close position the shit would over heat and go into protect ... but the weird thing is i didnt even have it in a tight space or anything. so hopefully the mrp2000 doesnt do the same. have pics of your car?

I don't like mounting amps on the back of my seat. That would place any amp past on its side and starting towards upside down. I have played my m650 3/4 gain with a very clean signal for a year now, and it hasn't ever overheated. I have mine mounted on its side on a wall in my trunk, SO more air flow maybe? I bought the m2000 the week before the sundowns went on sale or i probly would of got a saz2000d. Anyway this way the m2000 will match my 4ch. mrp-f600. I need to learn to post pictures and then I'll post ya some.

Well its getting warmer out which has given me motivation to keep making progress with this build. Recently I purchased some second skin damplifier and decided id do my roof first. It was a pain in the ass because i couldnt maneuver the headliner out of the car without potentially bending/creasing it. So i just layed the seats back and worked as best as I could. I mostly had to lean in the car with one arm supporting my weight and my other arm applying the sound deadener. I got the job done but my back killed me for the next 2 days lol. And yes. The damplifier made a biiiiiiiiig difference in the sound of my roof. In the end there are 2-4 layers of damplifier on my roof (2 towards the rear 4 towards the front). Tomorrow ill be doing my floor/front two doors.

Heres what my room is looking like these days lol (few sets of speakers, 150 ft of 1/0 2 18s 5 batteries among other stuff)

"Before" and After video of the roof.... i forgot to test it before i applied the second skin so i just used the hood instead which sounded exactly the same as the stock roof.

Its been a long time since ive updated this thread ... Ive been having alot of troubles with things fitting correctly. But now im on the grind because I really want to get this done before I go to VA in mid august.

Replaced my cabin air filters while I was running my ipod cable to the glovebox. This shit was jam packed with pollen bugs and little leaves .... It was disgusting to think that those were "filtering" my air.
