fox_racin4
well what i have been doing is having the sub vol. at 4 and setting it till the voltage just starts to drop ( and its as loud as i want it then) but i have 2 amps ill be running so i cant do that and need to gain match them Quote 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole
ISO
Anything less than 14 on my Alpine puts me into negative attenuation. When he goes from a 0db recordding to -3db recording he will have to turn the gain on the amp up a little. If I'm not mistaken RF recommends setting up with a -5db recording with its 360.2. Why? Well not all if much music content is going to play at or near a 0db recording. In MY WORDS useing the -db recordings help cut out some of the headroom and with subwoofers quite honestly makes them sound louder with very little if any harm at max volume. I iuse a 0db recording because I use the Punch Bass remote knob that came with my amp and setting it at 0db allows me plenty of room to play with my bass boost without clipping the shit out of my amp. ISO
Why is your voltage dropping? You do this with everything (all subwoofers NOT hooked up) there should be no voltage drop. fritosaregood
alright looks like ill used a 70 hz tone 0db then? lol with it on 4 out of 8? 50 hz tone Quote seller feedback: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61719 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=68281 build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=44800 Gf's build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/54346-kickergirls-camaro-new-box-pg-5/#entry753970

ISO
IMO you are better off with a 50 hertz tone. I know I didn't explain things well but surely you are getting the idea? I'm passing on the electrical to the next guy. There is no reason you should be haveing a voltage drop when setting things up unless you are doing it by ear because nothing should be hooked up on the amps outputs if useing the DMM method or O-scope method. fox_racin4
no nothing will be hooked up i dont want to go threw setting all the other eq "bands" just to match all the outputs im sure theres an easier way if i have a 50 hz tone... ill be setting the output of the amp to 77vrms correct? ill have the sub settin on 4 out of 8 becasue i know maxing it out isnt the best of ideas and 0 is completly off and i woul dlike a little room to turn the bass down if need be Quote 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole
