Coolwazabi
What do you mean "installed my wiring to factory wiring"?You cut the harness and wired to the factory wires directly without a adapter? more info plz, car, H/U, Pics.... when my old HU got stolen... the cut the factory plug so... i couldn't just get an adapter harness and just match the colors.. so i got the haynes manual and looked up each wire and see what it did.. its for a 2000 civic si coupe.. and the HU is a jvc kd-s100.. i'll try to get a video of the issue... :censored:
HaMSaMMiCH
OK, np. Did you test stuff with a meter before hooking it up? Haynes manuals are OK for wiring, but I don't have much experience with them for car stereo..... I like the12volt Here is the stereo wiring chart from the12volt.com 2000 Honda Civic Stereo Wiring Constant 12V+ Blue/White Switched 12V+ Yellow/Red Ground Black Illumination Red/Black Dimmer n/a Antenna Driver's Pillar Front Speakers 6 1/2" Doors Left Front (+) Blue Left Front (-) Gray/Black Right Front (+) Red/Green Right Front (-) Brown/Black Rear Speakers 6" x 9" Rear Deck Left Rear (+) Blue/Yellow Left Rear (-) Gray/White Right Rear (+) Red/Yellow Right Rear (-) Brown/White also check ALL of your fuses. Inside acc fuses as well as fuses under the hood because they may have shorted something when they jacked your old stuff and blew a fuse and now the H/U is only getting one of the two powers..... HaMSaMMiCH
double check all the wires are going to the correct place, as well as connections. Solder is ideal, but if not use butt connectors. NEVER wire nuts or only electrical tape, they make bad connections and will shake apart. If you have access to a multimeter check that you are still getting power on the switched 12v+. if it shows the time with the display button and ejects discs it is getting constant power. Sounds like switched is missing.... Quote CAUTION! POOR INSTALLATION MAY SHORT BOTH YOUR SYSTEM AND WALLET
Coolwazabi
well i used butt connectors and i triple checked the wiring.. its not it... i'm gonna disconnect it and just run it straight to the battery and try... i did the multimeter with the yellow and it was showing okay.. and i checked the ground and its good... guess i could check the red power wire.. HMMMMMMM !!!!

odsound
i would double check that red wire you might have taped into a wire that shows up 12v for a certain time and then goes off.
