kl0wn Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Whenever my amp went into protect mode, I'd just give it about 10 minutes to cool down and it would come out of protect mode 06 Mini Cooper S Sundown, SoundQubed Cadence, XS Power 151s Sealed 155s Outlaw Windshield @ 37hz

raytard Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 if it got hot enough to go into protect, and is still hot an hour later, either you fried the holy f%$* our of it, or its not getting any ventillation short answer is "we dont know" try it tomorrow, if it still doesnt work, its broken. get it fixed/warrantee/sold/etc Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
kl0wn Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Well my amp was a kicker wired all the way down to .5 ohm, and it would get hotttt pretty quick, but 1 day during the summer when it was like 99degress out side, i was blaring for about a good 3 hours and it went into protect till the next day. But if the wires messed up, I wouldn't think the amp would even turn on, and if it did it would go in and out, not go into protect. But if I was you, I would just give it until tomorrow and if it is still in protect mode, call the manufacture and see what they can do for you if it got hot enough to go into protect, and is still hot an hour later, either you fried the holy f%$* our of it, or its not getting any ventillationshort answer is "we dont know" try it tomorrow, if it still doesnt work, its broken. get it fixed/warrantee/sold/etc Yeah that's what happened to my amp, it got too hot and didn't have any ventillation going to it to cool off so I waited till the next day and it worked perfectly fine 06 Mini Cooper S Sundown, SoundQubed Cadence, XS Power 151s Sealed 155s Outlaw Windshield @ 37hz
