carbonG Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 I have two Rockford P3D410 subs in a diy sealed enclosure. Here are some pics of the box. Im currently running a Kenwood KAC-9152D with 8 Gauge wire. I'm going to be running 4 gauge wire and possibly installing a farad cap. I'm getting major dimming currently. It sounds "ok" but i think upgrading the wire, amp and cap should help. What amp would you guys recommend for the subs? I have them wired in a 1 Ohm load currently.
finkster Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 welcome to the forum. nice box. first i would recommend that you do the BIG 3 upgrade. There is a sticky on it in the elctrical section of this forum. second, i believe those subs are 500w rms each, so you would need an amp that put out around 1000 watts at 1 ohm. there should be a couple amps for sale around here within those specs. but yea, get your electrical straightened out. and ditch the capacitor, the big 3 will help more.
