Has anyone done a GM Carb to TBI conversion?

I am about to upgrade my 79 Monte Carlo to fuel injection looking to see if anyone had any advice.

if i remember correctly, you'll need a fuel pump, and of course all the necessary parts for the fuel injection. Might be beneficial to go ahead and tear the block down and make sure all the seals are good and give it some new gaskets.

I got all of the TBI parts(harness, sensors, computer) from a 90 suburban.

I have the motor out and just dropped the heads off to be checked. I'm just a lil nervouse about the process now.

to make life easier, you could get a painless universal tbi harness.... but honestly, i would rather have a speed density TPI set up for a STOCK SBC.... HOWEVER, if you plan on doing any kind of head/cam/ or block work, a good ol' fashion holley 4150 series carb is hard to beat.

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR FUEL ECONOMY THE TBI WOULD BE NICE. BUT IF YOUR LOOKING FOR PERFORMANCE YOU NEED TO GET THE HOLLY CARB 4150 SERIES THAT WAS RECOMENDED.
